I have been told by republican insiders that Liam Dominic Adams was hiding in an IRA safe house in the West of Ireland on the night that UTV aired its Insight documentary about the allegations of child rape and abuse being levelled against him by his daughter Aine and these allegations being supported by his brother Sinn Fein President, Gerry Adams. It would appear that UTV had made every good effort to contact Liam Adams before airing their documentry and indeed Gerry Adams had tried to get Liam to return to north to face the outstanding charges. Gerry Adams had been advised that if Liam returned to the north and was charged then the UTV documentry could not have been aired.

From the outset Gerry Adams has done all in his power to try and cover his tracks, he has done all in his power to keep the Adams family secrets in the wardrobe, however, thanks to persistent good journalism as we have seen from the Sunday Tribune the skeletons just keep falling out of the Adams wardrobe. Indeed this weekend two senior members of the republican movement were dispatched from west Belfast to meet with Liam Dominic Adams in Galway. Gerry Adams has again asked his brother Liam Dominic Adams to return to the north and not to make a political circus out of the charges he faces. Liam has been told in no uncertain terms that he is doing untold damage not just to Gerry but also to the republican cause, at this point in time it is difficult to determine what that cause might be.

It is unknown to this Observer what Liam Dominic Adam's attitude to the latest deligation from HQ, however, Liam may well want to retaliate against Gerry for going on the Insight programme and in Liam's view denying him a fair trial. A long drawn out challenge to a European Extradition warrant will simply open the Adams wounds beyond repair, Gerry Adams knows well that the only way to put this dog to bed is to convence Liam to plead guilty to the charges and then no actual evidence will ever have to be given about what Gerry knew or did not know, we wait and see.

Yesterday the 27th of December 2009 I made my annual visit to Dundalk to visit family and friends, nothing could have prepared me for the depth of anger among local people directed at the leadership of Sinn Fein and in particular Gerry Adams. Since the UTV Insight programme gave an expose of Liam Dominic Adams and his brother - Sinn Fein President, Gerry Adams the people have been constantly drip fed information about what Gerry Adams knew about his Father Gerry Snr and his Brother Liam's alleged rape and sexual abuse of children. Gerry Adams has sought sympathy by stating that he became estranged from his brother Liam once he knew that Liam had abused his toddler daughter Aine. However, yesterday The Sunday Tribune published a photo of Gerry Adams canvassing with his brother Dominic in Dundalk several years after Gerry had been told that his brother was a child rapist.

The continued exposure of Gerry Adams by the Sunday Tribune and other good media shows that Gerry Adams will tell what ever story that will keep him in his well paid political post. However, the writing is on the wall for Sinn Fein unless they take action against their leader. It comes as no great surprise to this Observer or indeed many other observers that Sinn Fein/IRA tolerated and facilitated the rape of children, in every parish where Sinn Fein/IRA have a foot hold Aine's story could be told a hundred times over. Yet Gerry Adams and his murderous comrades are not the only demons in this dark panto that is being played out on the stage of life. For decades sections of the media and political establishment remained silent while young boys and girls were brutalised by members of Sinn Fein/IRA, when children were taken out by politico-philes and beaten to within an inch of their life simply because they had told a teacher or social worker that they had been raped by a member of Sinn Fein/IRA.

Children and their families were told very clearly what would happen to them if they went to the authorities and reported members of Sinn Fein/IRA who had raped or sexually abused them. Many so called on the runs in the Republic were like Liam Adams simply running from their own demons. According to local republicans in Dundalk Liam was always to the fore when it came to dishing out punishment to young boys and girls who were engaged in 'anti-social behaviour', yes indeed Sinn Fein/IRA provided a known child abuser with all the tools necessary to ply his trade. Gerry Adams helped his brother Liam to hide his dark secrets, Gerry Adams only made a statement to the PSNI through his solicitor in 2007 when he knew the game was up, when he knew that Aine would no longer be silenced by the coward that is Sinn Fein/IRA.

Yesterday the people of Dundalk gave a new meaning to IRA and this meaning in its shakey, but carefully scribed words says it all.

European Arrest Warrant for Liam Dominic Adams

Liam Adams has told the Irish News that he will not hand himself over to the PSNI. In so refusing Liam Dominic Adams now leaves the PSNI with no choice but to seek to have issued a European Arrest Warrant. This warrant will allow the Gardai to arrest Liam Adams and bring him before the District Court to seek to have him returned to the North to face allegations of child rape and abuse. The Question that must now be asked is whether Liam Adams can fight such an extradition warrant and if he does fight that warrant can he be successful?

Grounds for refusal: The surrender of the person can be refused on several grounds (see Arts. 3 and 4 of the Framework Decision) among which:

The "ne bis in idem" or double jeopardy principle. This means that the person will not be returned to the country that issued the arrest warrant if he or she has already been tried for the same offence.

Amnesty: A Member State can refuse to return a person if an amnesty covers the offence in its national legislation. A great moral dilema awaits here as Liam Adams was convicted of IRA membership during the years of the alleged sexual abuse of his daughter, could he benifit from the Good Friday Agreement, this question remains to be answered when child killers such as Sean Kelly have been released under the terms of the GFA.

Statutory limitation: A Member State can refuse to return a person if the offence is statute barred according to its law (which means that the time limit has been passed and that it is too late under that country's law to prosecute the person).

The age of the person: A Member State can also refuse to return a person who is a minor and has not reached the age of criminal responsibility under its national laws.

It is also possible for a Member State to execute directly the sentence decided in another Member State instead of surrendering the person to that Member State.

Retrial: If a person has been tried in their absence they are entitled to be retried upon their return to that jurisdiction. Again Liam Adam's argument about not being able to get a fair trial may well be struck down here.

Liam Adam's will most likely seek an Order of Prohibition in the Dublin High Court when he is arrested, he will argue that he will not get a fair trial due to pre-trial publicity but that will cut no ice in the High Court where many high profile cases have been sent forward with a simple warning to the jury to disregard any publicity.

That all leaves us with a real prospect of seeing Liam Adams in the Dock in Belfast before the end of 2010 with his brother Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams as a witness for the Crown against his brother. Liam may also opt to be tried in the Republic, however, he will find little favour with a judge and jury in Dublin who are all to aware of what has occured in this country over many decades.

Conviction of Sinn Fein/IRA's Stepehen (Rossi) Walsh for child rape

On the 18th day of December 2009 at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin, Stephen (Rossi) Walsh was convicted on two counts of raping a 9 year old girl and one further count of sexual assault against the same child. Much of the media reporting on this case failed to mention the fact that Stephen 'Rossi' Walsh was one of the most senior members of Sinn Fein/IRA in Dublin for many years, indeed during his last sentence (15 years) for blowing up Collins pub in Ballybough in September 1992, Rossi spent many years of his sentence with republicans in the PIRA wing in Portloaise Prison. Stephen Walsh was running a major protection racket for the IRA when he blow up Collin's pub in Ballybough in 1992. Rossi was well known in republican circles in Dublin and he could call and rally active service units in Dublin at a whim. Rossi Walsh was caught in the 1992 attack as the bomb he had planted sucked him back into the pub when it exploded, Gardai found Rossi inside the pub badly burned.

Rossi who was up until recently living in Belgrave Road, Rathgar in Dublin had previously lived and was known throughout the Ringsend and Pearse Street areas of Dublin. When Rossi was convicted for the 1992 Bombing he was tried as were all IRA activists in the Special Criminal Court. Rossi was treated and accorded the facilities of a 'political' prisoner upon his conviction and he was popular among his fellow IRA comrades in Portloaise Prison. Rossi would finish out his 15 year sentence in Wheatfield Prison where he focused his attention on studying law and indeed fought many successful cases on behalf of prisoners who were less versed in the law. Rossi who was once a talented footballer attended the gym in Wheatfield on a daily basis and encouraged young lads to participate in football, many of these young lads were drug addicts but they looked up to and respected Rossi.

While in Wheatfield Rossi was quickly surrounded by fellow republicans Larry Kane Snr and Jnr, Micheal Kenny, William (Billy) Clare etc etc and they acted accordingly with constant challenges to the Courts and to the system. Stephen Rossi Walsh was and remains a staunch republican, while in prison he was regularly visited by some of the most senior republicans in Dublin, Rossi used smuggled mobile phones to remain in contact with his comrades in Portloaise Prison while he was in Wheatfield. Rossi famously carried out a raid on the offices of the DPP in Dublin to try and halt certain proceedings, he has never been convicted of this crime but often talked about it while in Wheatfield, he was the stuff that folklore is made off. Rossi while an active republican on the streets and in prison was always a champion of the under dog, this latest conviction however leaves a stain that will most likely be his epitaph.

The reporting of Rossi's conviction in the media is strange, there is no mention of his membership of Sinn Fein/IRA, there is no mention of the fact that he was operating on behalf of the PIRA when he blew up Collins pub, I suppose its no stranger than a so called victims group congratulating Gerry Adams on his coming clean about his Fathers alleged abuse and his brothers admitted deviance, still I would have prefered if Gerry had told the truth when he first knew, how many children have been abused by Gerry Snr and Liam we will probably never know as victims would be unlikely to report members of the Adams family.

In February 2010 Stephen Rossi Walsh will be sentenced for raping a 9 year old girl, yet he is simply one in a long line of Sinn Fein/IRA members to have carried out such crimes, can the people expect anything other than murder and rape from an organisation that indoctrinated its child soldiers.

The Adams Family a Real Horror

When one thinks of the characters in the movie the Adams Family images of darkness and horror enter the mind, however who would have thought that Ireland's real Adams Family that has been at the heart of Sinn Fein/IRA for decades would be the true horror story of the new Millenium. On Friday 18/12/2009 at 8pm UTVs Insight team delivered a devastating blow to the persona of the man known as Gerry Adams, the Sinn Fein President used the age old strategy of "the best form of defence is attack" and he attacked his Brother Liam Dominic Adams who had just been described on the programme as a child rapist by his daughter Aine. This was not breaking news for Gerry, no, indeed Gerry had known about the rape of his niece for decades as his brother Liam had admitted to him that he had indeed been abusing Aine since she was a toddler.

It was clear that Gerry had agreed to go on the programme as Aine was no longer afraid to speak out and tell that she had told Gerry many years ago that she had been raped, that Gerry and Aine had went to meet Liam in Donegal and Liam had denied the allegations, at that point Gerry said "Its like trying to establish who took the apple from the garden of eden". Yet Gerry maintained that he always believed Aine and that from that point on he had no further dealings with his brother. However, on this occassion, this Observer and many more can tell you that this is a lie. Liam Adams having admitted to Gerry that he was indeed a child rapist was allowed to move quietly to Dundalk where he set up camp as a leading member of Sinn Fein/IRA, better still he was allowed to become a 'youth leader' in the much down trodden Muirhevnamor area, such areas of social depravation being the water in which politico-philes swim.

Gerry Adams rubber stamped his brothers new found position as Sinn Fein/IRA leader in Dundalk by attending his brother Liams marrage to his second wife, his first wife and abused daughter now safely sent packing to England. Gerry Adams used his comrades of many years including IRA legend Joe Cahill to help Liam establish his new identity by allowing these men attend Liams wedding without warning them that Liam had already admitted to him that he had raped his daughter Aine. Thanks to Gerry Adams his brother Liam was able to travel to republican strong holds all around Ireland and have unfettered access to children. Young boys and girls in the republican movement in Dundalk were dazzled by Gerry's Brother, young republicans who joined Na Fianna Eireann were handed over to Liam to be moulded. Indeed Gerry Adams gave his Brother Liam the green light in 1997 to seek the Sinn Fein nomination for Louth in the Dail elections. For Gerry to deny this is a kin to his denying that he was a member of the IRA.

For those of us who know the republican movement in-side out and up-side down it came as no great surprise that Gerry Adams had concealed the rape of his niece for decades or indeed that he gave succur to his brother Liam even after Liam had admitted to him that he had raped his toddler daughter Aine. For decades Sinn Sein/IRA has been home to peadophiles, homophiles, hetrophiles, psychopaths and rapists. Yet many in the media remained silent, no broad headlines for the conviction of a senior member of Sinn Fein/IRA from Newry when he pleaded guilty to raping a child in Barcroft Park in Newry, No banner headlines when it was proven that a Sinn Fein/IRA Active Service Unit in South Armagh and led by Aidan Starrs had kidnapped, raped and murdered a young Catholic woman, this unit were later executed by the IRA for being informers not for being rapists, the list is endless whether the cover up was in Monaghan, Armagh City and County, Dundalk, Dublin, Cork the story remains the same - men and women who joined Sinn Fein/IRA knowing that their crimes would not only be tolerated but protected and facilitated.

What more can a peadophile, homophile, hetrophile ask for than to be given the protection of a political organisation for their crimes. What more can the sexual deviant want than to be allowed to take a child out of his/her own home, rape, molest and torture that child and then be given succur by sections of the media and political establishement as that peadophile, homophile activity is described as community policing, punishment for anti-social behaviour. What more can a homophile wish for than to take a little boy into the foot hills of North Monaghan torture/murder and bury that child (Columbia Mc Veigh) and have the cover of political cause to carry out such crimes that had more in keeping with the tradition of Myra Hindley and Ian Brady than it has with Pearse and Connolly. Over the years some good people tried to tell sections of the media that children were being beaten with baseball bats simply because they had reported to a teacher or social worker that they were being sexually abused by a member of Sinn Fein/IRA, but sections of the media and political establishment did not want to know as the journey to peace was more important, what value the rape of a child when the suited gentry of terrorism are needed at the negotiating table. Sections of the media and political establishment in this country have been stained by their silence in relation to the politico-philes. Who will forget the sceens of young girls being taken out and molested in Armagh City, tied to lamp posts and having their clothes ripped off and paint thrown over them by politico-philes, sections of the media fell silent, the leader of this particular unit in Armagh City originating from Monaghan Town.

The UTV Insight team finally done something that was there to be done for years yet it is simply the tip of the ice berg, lets see Gerry Adams call on all of the men, women and children who have been raped and sexually abused by members of Sinn Fein/IRA the length and breath of this country to come forward and speak to the police knowing they will have the full support of the Republican leadership, it wont happen and we who know - know why. Friday night brought us the trial and conviction of Liam Dominic Adams by the words of his daughter Aine and more so by his Brother Gerry, yesterday on RTE Gerry Adams offered a plea of mitigation on his brothers behalf, yes - we are to pity Gerry and his failure to contact the police in 1992 about his knowledge of the rape of his niece as his own Father Gerry Snr was a child abuser. Well Gerry you get no pity here, what about the thousands of children your organisation abused and murdered, what about all of those rape victims sitting today afraid to speak as you and I know what they would face. Its worth noting that An Phoblacht gave Liam plenty of good publicity after he had admitted to Gerry that he was a child rapist, it is also worth noting the Silence of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission, its Chief Commissioner, Monica Mc Williams had plenty to say about other such cases, perhaps the time has come for the powder puff provos to be exposed. Will Caoimhghin O Caolain use his Dail privilage to address the failings of his leader Gerry Adams in relation to his brother Liam's alleged rapes, remembering that Caoimhghin previously used his Dail privilage to talk about his once close associate and flat mate who went on to be convicted of sexual assault.

When Gerry Adams published his autobiography 'Before the Dawn' he sent me an autographed copy, I gave this with all other republican propaganda I had gathered in my years with Sinn Fein/IRA to a charity shop in Dorset Street when I had finally cleaned my heart, soul and mind of their dehumanising political agenda. Those who offer surprise at the revelations about the Adams family have never trully understood the nature of the beast that is Sinn Fein/IRA, others have excused their silence because of the threat of legal litigation from the provos legal rent boys, however, those of us who as dysfunctional children were taken under the wing by people like Liam Adams and told that we had to be prepared to murder members of our own families if it became necessary, we had to be prepared to treat our family members as the enemy if they could cause us to break under interrogation, it is no surprise that many hundreds of Sinn Fein/IRA members and supporters became child rapists and abusers, Liam Dominic Adams took this teaching to its ultimate conclusion and his Brother Gerry gave him the ultimate cover.

Stag Hunting/Irish Times

This morning the Irish Times asks in its news poll if Stag hunting should be banned, this Observer says Yes it should be banned. Last night I was watching Jamie Oliver's Family Christmas and on this great show he had his Gran. His Gran who is 90 in January (happy birthday) was recalling that during the war she would go to the butcher to collect the rationed food for the family. They would get 2 eggs and a piece of Rabbit. On one occassion she dropped one of the eggs on the way home and she was so desperate that she returned to the butcher and told him that the egg had been bad and he gave her one to replace. These were times when desperate things had to be done just to provide for the family, however, the hunting down of an innocent and beautiful Stag for the amusement of a few woolly jumpers is not acceptable.

These animals are reared simply for the blood lust of a few land owners, for people to show off their finery, for the village idiots to have a snifter of brandy before setting their hounds in pursuit of a docile animal. This is cruelty pure and simple, those who use the traditional argument must understand that cruelty can have no tradition in this country, Stag hunting just like the abuse of children in the 'care' of the State is not acceptable and must end forth with.

Fight Crime not An Garda Siochana

Right to Fight

The Gardai have been balloted by their Union leaders to determine if they should take industrial action over major impacts on their pay and conditions of employment. The difficulty is that this inept Government has put in place legislation that actually criminalises the Gardai for their Civil, Legal and Human right to withdraw their labour. This is an outragous situation where men and women who put their life on the line day in and day out are to be criminalised by taking a stand that many of us feel is a fundamental right, a right that is integral to the democratic process and is the corner stone of a modern day democracy.

Fianna Fail for decades presided over the rape and human degradation of children in Institutional 'care', they continue today to leave children in "conditions not fit for animals" (Mr Justice Peter Kelly). This Government now want our Gardai to work in conditions where men and women of An Gardai Siochana are being punished for the crimes of bankers and speculators, where the men and women of An Gardai Siochana are being put at risk due to cuts backs and manpower shortages.

This weekend we have seen a young Garda Officer die and another remain in a serious condition as they simply went about their duty, In Clondalkin we have seen Gardai shot at by those with murderous intent, last week we seen a young Garda get slashed in the face with a knife, week after week our officers are being put at risk and yet this Government tries to hand-cuff them with draconian legislation that would better suit Nazi Germany than Ireland. Yes, the members of An Gardai have a right to Ballot and Yes they have a right to withdraw their labour.

Northern Irelands 184,000 carers deserve greater recognition and government support for their role in providing essential services to the community. Thats the message from the Northern Ireland Assemblys Social Development Committee as it responds to Governments Green Paper on the future of carers. The Green Paper, entitled Shaping the Future of Care Together which was published recently, could lead to new legislation which would affect Northern Irelands carers. Committee Chairperson, Mr. Simon Hamilton, MLA said: The Committee strongly feels that carers in Northern Ireland undertake a vital and under-recognized role. Carers dont just provide an essential service to individual care recipients they save the Health and Social Security system large amounts of money. The Committee would like to see the government acknowledge all of the benefits that carers bring to wider society. Mr Hamilton continued: Carers come from all age groups and from a wide range of differing circumstances. The Committee therefore welcomes proposals for individual assessments which would tailor social security and other help for carers. The Committee supports the introduction of UK-wide social security measures which could address not just the cost of care provided but also the income lost by carers. Caring for an elderly, sick or disabled family member is rather like a vocation. The Committee wants society at large to recognize this. The Committee would also like to see practical measures such as the relaxation of the full-time education rule so that those entitled to Carers Allowance in Northern Ireland can develop their lives outside of their caring responsibilities and enhance their employment opportunities.
COMMITTEE WELCOMES FURTHER EXTENSION TO SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS CONSULTATION

The Committee for Education at the Northern Ireland Assembly has welcomed the announcement by the Minister of Education to further extend the consultation on Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Inclusion Review. Committee Chairperson, Mervyn Storey MLA, said: The Committees evidence sessions have highlighted a huge level of parental and professional concern with the Department of Educations proposals for SEN. The Committee had already requested the Minister extend the deadline for responses, which she duly did. In light of the volume of concerns, the Committee raised the issue of a further extension and welcomes the Ministers decision to extend the consultation period to the end of January 2010. The Committee hopes that this indicates a willingness by the Minister to take on board the concerns of parents and professionals living and working with children with Special Educational Needs." The Committee this week agreed to host an event at Parliament Buildings in January 2010 to provide an opportunity for parents, pupils and professionals working in this area to discuss the Departments proposals for SEN & Inclusion. The Committee will invite officials from the Department of Education to hear the concerns being raised by those whom the changes will affect.
PAC PUTS IRISH SPORT HORSE PROJECT UNDER SCRUTINY

A final report into the Irish Sports Horse Project, which received £3.3 million of European Union funding, has today been published by the Northern Ireland Assembly Public Accounts Committee. The Committee had twice examined the project in 2001, and this report completes its investigation into the scheme. Speaking at the launch of the report, Paul Maskey MLA, Chairperson of the Committee, said: The Committee has been looking at this project over a number of years we held two meetings in 2001 and a subsequent one in the last session. While it is unusual for one project to be the subject of three evidence sessions, our most recent hearing reflected our concerns over the way issues had been dealt with following the earlier sessions. For example, in 2006, a departmental review found that delivering equine breeding and testing at two sites the Departments Enniskillen campus and Necarne was costing more than necessary. Two years later, in 2008, the Department calculated that it could save over £165,000 a year by concentrating all equine provision at its Enniskillen campus. To our dismay, during our most recent evidence session, we found that public funds will continue to be wasted on the Necarne lease until at least 2012 when the Department hopes to agree the termination of the lease with the Council. In our view, the slow progress with which this matter has been pursued by the Department is unacceptable. The Committee was also disappointed to learn that an Equine Technology Centre, constructed in 2000 at a cost of £160,000, has never been used. Scarce resources have been wasted, and an opportunity to help the local equine industry has been missed.

The Northern Ireland Assembly Social Development Committee today visited homelessness projects in the Derry City Council area as part of its work on the Housing Amendment Bill. Committee Chairperson, Mr. Simon Hamilton, MLA said: The Committee is very pleased to be able to visit Londonderry and highlight the important work undertaken by the Council for the Homeless in tackling homelessness in the North West. It is especially poignant at this time of year when peoples thoughts turn to all of those who are less fortunate than themselves. The Committee believes that the support provided by hostels like Shepherds View is crucial not just at Christmas but all year round. He continued: The Committee has devoted a lot of time to the review of support for the homeless from new legislation which will require the Housing Executive to produce a new Homelessness Strategy to the provision of tailored homelessness prevention advice. The Committee sees the solution to homelessness as dependent on a number of departments and a wide range of stakeholders and has been encouraged by the progress achieved to-date by the Department through its Including the Homeless strategy. As well as visiting homelessness projects, the Committee also held a public meeting in the Millennium Forum. The Committee received briefings on Welfare Reform, funding for community development and proposals for a review of gambling legislation. Simon Hamilton concluded: The Committee is also pleased to be holding one of its regular meetings outside of Parliament Buildings, Belfast. These visits give the Committee the opportunity to explain its work; encourage engagement with the wider public and highlight the important role that the Committee has in scrutinising the work of the Department for Social Development.

The Irish Government has put in place economic policies that will see Ireland become an Industrial waste land, as major companies such as Dell are sponsored by the European Union to up root their operations in Ireland and move to the lower cost base of Poland this Government has failed to respond. Our nation is driven by the self-serving of a handful of corrupt and greedy speculators and their lap dancers in Leinster House, Government Ministers have become nothing more than financial rent boys who can be bought by the highest bidder. Day after day our shops and businesses are boarding up their windows while the very people who robbed this country walk in their soft shoes across the manicured landscape of the Royal Golf Club.

At least one billion will be spent in Northern Ireland by shoppers from the Republic in 2009 and this inept Government's response is to reduce VAT by 0.5%, introduce a car scrappage scheme that has already failed in Germany, who is it that is driving a 10 year old car that can afford 10,000 Euro for a new one. This Government and its decaying green fig leaf have abandoned their post when they were most needed in the defence of the on slaught on this countries industrial base. They have like cowards hidden behind the mealy mouthed words of equally corrupt bankers and speculators from around Europe, they have wiggled and squirmed like the most amateurist lap dancer as the speculators have put the Euro in the Juke Box.

This Government has the Fiscal ability of a sleeping monkey that has been awakened by the poacher's torch, they have no direction and no leadership. This Government will soon have a headstone in the grave yard of political history, unfortunately that grave stone may also read, "Here lies the body of a once great nation".

Today Mr Brian Lenihan, The Minister for Finance will deliver the Government's budget for 2010. In that budget little remains to be discovered other than the dot of the I or the cross of the T. It is for certain that the most vulnerable and hard working in society will be punished to pay for the crimes of the wealthy bankers and speculators. Families who through no fault of their own face into this Christmas with no income only the crumbs from the table of the Golden Circle are to be brutalised and penalised for the failures of this Government. This Government failed to have professional financial safe guards in place to protect us from corrupt bankers and property speculators, indeed can we expect any thing different when the man charged with running the country is himself a property speculator, but a property speculator who invested his money in creating jobs and employment in Cambridge England rather than Dublin Ireland. How can we trust a Government that has more in common with the wrong doers than it has with the good citizens of this State.

The latest whisper is that Brian Lenihan is being groomed for the position of Taoiseach, however this Observer would say thats a Chair Lenihan will never fill. Lenihan may well think that he has been moulded on the potters wheel of Fianna Fail traditionalism, however the reality is that skeletons often fall out of the cupboard when you least expect them and no amount of nepitism can save the recipient. Today the Government could have taken the monthly Social Welfare Payment (child benifit) off the families of millionaires, they could have taken child benifit off the 6,000 Tax Exiles who rob this country blind each year, they could have forced the bankers and speculators to pay for their own crimes, rather this Government has taken the easy option they have decided to punish the most vulnerable.

A widow neighbour of mine has 4 children, she has not yet come to terms with the loss of her husband who died only a few weeks back, she is dependent on the widows pension which is approx 260 Euro per week (this has not even been paid yet) the only other payment she gets is the Child Benifit for her 4 children as they are still school going age, the proposed cuts in Social welfare will leave this woman with at least 80 Euro per month less, does Lenihan or his Golden Circle friends care about this woman and her family, No. A man I once worked for in Dublin owns several hotels and other businesses, his family gets child benifit each and every month for their five children, this man is a multi-millionaire yet they keep their Social welfare payment as others queue up at soup kitchens close to their fancy hotels.

Brian Lenihan and indeed this Government had the opportunity to do the right thing, instead they have decided as indeed they have decided in the two previous budgets like the school yard bully to attack the weak and the vulnerable. This Government is not only mealy mouthed but they are corrupt and unfit for office, if Lenihan thinks this budget will get him the Taoiseach's chair he will soon be woke up from that dream. This government built its inept policies on the flood planes of Biffonian Economics, steal from the poor to give to the rich, the day of Judgement will see them pay a heavy price for their sins.

Recognising the impact of climate change on the most vulnerable people and places is a matter of social justice and should act as a driver for Northern Ireland to develop its own climate change implementation strategy. This is the message from the Northern Ireland Assembly Environment Committee which today released a comprehensive report into Climate Change. The report brings together the main findings of an inquiry which the Committee launched in November 2008. Speaking at the launch, the Committee Chairperson, Dolores Kelly, MLA said: To date, Northern Ireland is the only UK jurisdiction without a strategy to help achieve the targets set in the UK Climate Change Act. It is the Committees recommendation that Northern Ireland develops its own climate change implementation strategy as a matter of urgency and take responsibility for making a fair and proportionate contribution to meeting UK Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction targets. Dolores Kelly MLA continued: Currently responsibility for Climate Change sits with the Department of the Environment and we would call on the Department to establish its own emission targets based on sound local science and the most cost-effective approach for Northern Ireland. Wherever possible, the Committee would like to see a mix of incentives and penalties used to influence behavioural and attitudinal change towards climate change. The Report also recommends that the Northern Ireland Audit Office be tasked and funded to assess progress on climate change objectives across government, in addition to continued scrutiny by the Committee. Following on from this report the Committee will be commissioning its own research to better inform it on the cost implications of addressing climate change in Northern Ireland.

Public Inquiry Demanded

This morning theirishobserver.blogspot.com has written to An Taoiseach, Mr Brian Cowen asking him to establish a full public inquiry into O Donoghue's tenure at the Department of Justice, Mr Cowen has also been supplied with hard copy of the legal documents with which theirishobserver.blogspot.com has been provided.

Whether a public inquiry is established or not it is clear from the legal documents provided to theirishobserver.blogspot.com that many criminal convictions may now be re-opened including some of the most high profile in the past decade.

Haunted by the Spectre of Political Criminality

Those who hold Ministerial Office must not only be above criminality but must be seen to be above criminality. The vast majority of our politicians over many generations have held their office with dignity and professionalism. Yet the actions of a small number of politicians have condemned Leinster House to be Haunted by the Spectre of Political Criminality. The Irishobserver.blogspot.com has been provided with legal documentation that clearly shows that the former Minister for Justice, Mr John O Donoghue TD used his office in such a way as to at best give the impression that he had criminal intent. Mr John O Donoghue TD is a man who cannot claim legal ignorance as he is in fact a qualified Solicitor. Mr John O Donoghue TD is a man that knows that Bunreacht NA hEireann clearly sets out in its Articles and in particular Article 35 the clear line that must exist between the Judicial Process and the Political Establishment. Mr John O Donoghue TD knows well that even modern day interpretations of the Constitution by the Supreme Court demand that Justice be seen to be done. That all persons are treated equal before the law.

From the legal documentation provided to theirishobserver.blogspot.com it is clear that John O Donoghue TD had criminal intent in relation to at least one criminal trial, it is clear that John O Donoghue TD believed that he could use his office to influence the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to a criminal case and that such criminal activity would like so much else go undiscovered. It is absolutely clear from the legal documentation provided to theirishobserver.blogspot.com that the DPP was indeed contacted by a politician at the same time as these legal documents show O Donoghue's secretary preparing a draft letter to the DPP in relation to the same criminal case. It is clear from the legal documentation provided to theirishobserver.blogspot.com that the DPP failed in his duty when they did not pass this criminal communication directly on to the Gardai for full investigation. If any ordinary citizen tried to interfere with a criminal case they would face prosecution for at least Attempting to Pervert the Course of Justice.

How can the citizens of this State be expected to act as good citizens if those who hold high office appear to send out the message that crime pays as long as you can get away with it. How can we expect high standards from those in society when some of those who hold high office continually drag the political establishment into the gutter. How can we expect young people to abide by the rule of law when people qualified in the knowledge of our law use that knowledge to act in a criminal fashion or are seen to act in a criminal fashion. It is clear from the legal documentation provided to theirishobserver.blogspot.com that John O Donoghue TD is a man not fit to hold office. A person holding high office who makes the slightest infraction on our laws and on our Constitution is a person much worse in nature than the person of the most heinous criminal disposition. It is even more grievous that at the very time that Mr O Donoghue was at best seen to be abusing his position he was spouting about Zero tolerance of any infraction of our laws and good citizenship.

Rural proofing and rural development will top the agenda at a meeting of the Northern Ireland Assembly as Agriculture and Rural Development Committee. The meeting will be held at the offices of the Rural Community Network (RCN) and the Rural Development Council (RDC) in Cookstown on 3 December. Speaking before the visit, the Committee Chairman, Mr Ian Paisley Jnr said: The Committee feels that it will benefit from meeting these two leading organisations as they look to get back to the grass roots on the key issues of Rural Proofing and Rural White Paper. We were pleased to accept an invitation from the Rural Community Network to visit their offices. Recently as a Committee we have been critical of the Departments lack of progress in respect of rural proofing. This meeting in Cookstown will enable us to gain the informed views of both the RCN and the RDC. After the visit to RCN, and as part of its engagement programme, the Committee will go to see the Ballinderry River Fish Hatchery, a non-profit community business supported by the Rural Community Network.

The ERSI has said that the flooding in Ireland could stimulate the economy, the ERSI which is nothing more than an intellectual mouth-piece for this Fianna Fail Government and its decaying green fig leaf is like a headless chicken as it runs around trying desperately to deliver 'good' news on behalf of this inept Government. This country does not need more intellectual mouth-pieces or spin doctors, this country needs a Government with vision and direction, this country needs a government that is people centred and not greed driven, this country needs sound Fiscal direction and not policies built on the flood plains of Biffonian Economics.

As this Government prepares its December budget in which it will most certainly punish the most vulnerable in society for the greed and self serving of the wealthy this Government must realise that it is not fit for purpose. If this Government were a private enterprise it would have been declared bankrupt a long time a go, yet Brian Cowen continues to push forward like the drunk on a Saturday night spending the house keeping money.

The time for change is now, the time for excuses and lies and spin are over, if it is the case that this Government can only predict economic stimulus on the basis of how many homes are under water then this Government and its cheer leaders are destined for the dustbin of political history and sooner rather than later.
