No, yesterday when I was in town and had the weekly read at the regionals - they all had the same reports - hundreds hospitalised due to slips and falls on footpaths that are the responsibility of Government - The Meath Post reported 350 attended Our Ladys Hospital Navan in the past week with broken shoulders, arms, legs, teeth etc etc it is reported that there is little or no chance of compensation for any of these people as the Council done all it could - reports from around the country are the same - Yet I noted that a Fianna Fail Councillor and publican from Slane - was able to annouce in the Meath Post that he had secured 30,000 Euro for a party in Slane to celebrate its anniversary - so 30,000 for an auld party but not 10,000 to salt the roads and footpaths in meath - nice one there, the story in Monaghan was the same plenty of money for makey up groups but nothing for public safety.....I think the public have put their anger with this Fianna Failure Govt in cold storage for the moment but soon like the Christmas turkey it will be taken out of cold storage - stuffed and placed in the burning hot oven of political history.......gravy anyone.......
