Justice Minister

Justice Minister, Dermot Ahern, has welcomed the Gardai success in Dundalk, 22nd May 2010, where two dissidents were caught in possession of bomb making equipment. Mr Ahern has said that the Government is determined to do all in its power to stop the dissident threat.

Mr Ahern has said that co-operation between the PSNI and the Gardai is working well and that the people of Ireland dont want to be drawn back into the dark old days. Mr Ahern said that the dissidents have little or no support within their own communities and they will not be able to bomb and shoot their way to a united Ireland.
