Liam Dominic Adams, brother of Sinn Fein President, Gerry Adams, has been remanded on continuing bail by Mr Justice Peart in the High Court. Mr Justice Peart has adjourned the case until 7th July 2010 at which point the case may be listed for hearing.
Liam Adams is wanted by European Arrest Warrant in the north for allegedly sexually abusing his daughter Aine from she was four years old until she was ten years old. Liam Adams denies the charges. Gerry Adams had known about the allegations for many years before being finally forced to make a statement to the PSNI in 2007 when it was clear that Aine Tyrrell (the alleged victim) could not be silenced.
Aine has also alleged that Father Aidan Troy tried to get her to keep quiet about the allegations as the allegations could embarrass Sinn Fein President, Gerry Adams, Aidan Troy denies that he ever asked her to keep quiet.
