Kevin Galvin,Furry Park Road, Killester, north Dublin, a Garda in his 30s has been sacked from the force. Galvin who had been a Garda for 12 years was convicted of three counts under Health and Safety legislation.
Galvin had three adults and an 18 month baby living in a Garden shed, which had poor heating and ventilation, and which he was renting to the three people.He has been sacked for his property dealings. Galvin had been working at Garda HQ in the Phoenix Park as information technology operator. The Government approved his dismissal and he is now gone from the force.
It is unfortunate that our political leaders do not apply the same standards to themselves, surely politicians with property portfolios, both here in Ireland and further a field, should not have been allowed to introduce legislation that is nothing less that a bail out for their corrupt and criminal peers in the banking and property business.
