Health Care

TDs and Senators from the Oireachtas Commitee on Health and Children will tomorrow, (22nd) visit and meet with residents at the Reception and Integration Centres at the St Patricks Centre, Co Monaghan and Mosney, Co Meath.
The facilities at Mosney and Monaghan accommodate individuals and families who have sought asylum in Ireland are a currently going through the asylum application process.
No general media access will be permitted within the confines of the centres, though photographs will be distributed of the Mosney visit by Barry Cronin Photography (087 9598549) at approx 4:30 pm.
The Committee is visiting these premises in order to see at first hand the how the requirements of the residents are being provided for and how the centres cater for the residents’ needs.
Committee Chairman, Se n O’Fearghail TD said;
“Committee members are keen to see for themselves how the system of direct provision works. Our visit tomorrow will allow the Committee to tour and view both facilities and find out more about how the wellbeing of residents are met.
