Mullaghmatt council housing estate in Monaghan Town



The former home (149 Mullaghmatt, Monaghan Town, County Monaghan) of Fiona Mc Cleary who was accused by her daughter Sorcha Mc Kenna of concealing her abuse for several years, has been gutted in a mysterious fire. Gardai in Monaghan Town say they are following a definite line of inquiry.


Sorcha told Monagahn Circuit Court:

"I told my Mother, Fiona Mc Cleary, on two occassions that I was being sexually abused and she done nothing to protect me. I remember my Mother being in the bed with me when I was being abused".
