Vincent Mc Kenna was Sinn Fein Spokesman -

I am presently conducting research into the role of local media in politics, at this time I am wading through hundreds of copies of the Northern Standard in Monaghan Town. I have found some very interesting articles and thought readers might be particularly interested in this Sinn Fein statement that was published in the Northern Standard 22/1/1987 which clearly shows that Vincent Mc Kenna was a leading member of Sinn Fein in Monaghan.

Those who care to remember, will remember that Mc Kenna became an International critic of the role played in criminality by members of Sinn Fein/IRA, Mc Kenna was a thorn in the side of the British and Irish Governments who were turning a blind eye to Sinn Fein/IRA criminality in order to keep Sinn Fein/IRA in the 'peace-process'.

Mc Kenna's high profile criticism of Sinn Fein/IRA criminality was unwelcomed, however, Mc Kenna was proven true in his criticism as the murders of Garda Gerry Mc Cabe, Andrew Kearney, Robert Mc Cartney, Paul Quinn and dozens more have proven since. The revelations surrounding Gerry Adams and other senior members of Sinn Fein/IRA prove that Mc Kenna had his facts right.

It is also worth noting that the campaign to discredit Mc Kenna was driven by British agent Dennis Donaldson at Stormont and another RUC tout in Monaghan.
