Sinn Fein/IRA member preparing to turn State’s Evidence.
It is being widely whispered in security circles that a former member of Sinn Fein/IRA from County Monaghan who now lives outside of Ireland is preparing to turn State’s evidence against his former IRA comrades in Monaghan.
It is believed that the former Sinn Fein/IRA member approached the security services with the intention of unburdening himself of his past crimes while he was a member of Sinn Fein/IRA in Monaghan. It is believed that sworn statements have already been made and that the State must now decide how many people will face charges.
This latest development could see some of Sinn Fein’s most prominent members before the courts.
