Monaghan Priest concealed child abuse

Monaghan Priest concealed Sorcha’s Abuse


According to Fiona Mc Carron (nee, McCleary) she had told a Catholic Priest in Monaghan that her husband was sexually abusing their daughter Sorcha McKenna and the priest told her to go home and forget about the matter. According to Fiona Mc Carron (nee, McCleary) it would be ten years before her first husband Vincent McKenna would be charged with abusing Sorcha and subsequently sentenced to 6 years in prison.

While Fiona Mc Carron gave this evidence under Oath the Gardai stated that they were unable to question the priest about the alleged confession.
