GAA Dublin Home Coming Party Details

Details have been announced of the celebrations to mark Dublin’s dramatic last minute victory over Kerry in this evening’s All-Ireland Senior Football final in Croke Park.

Dublin won by the narrowest of margins after goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton scored a free with the last kick of the game which was enough to see Dublin home by 1-12 to 1-11.

Within minutes of the final whistle being blown, Dublin’s Lord Mayor and the Dublin County Board announced details of a homecoming event tomorrow in Merrion Square. .

The celebration starts at 7pm and – according to the press release at any rate – is set to conclude an hour later.

Access to Merrion Sq will be available from 6pm via Merrion Square East, Merrion Square South or Fitzwilliam Street Lower.

According to the Lord Mayor’s office, it is going to be “a family event so no alcohol will be allowed to be consumed”. The office has also advised people attending the home coming to use public transport.
