A statement said the independent directors of the telecoms firm's parent company, ERC Ireland Holdings Limited, had extended the deadline by two weeks until December 2.
The statement said the decision was taken to allow interested parties more time to "prepare and refine their submissions".

Eircom, majority-owned by Singapore Technologies Telemedia (STT), has been in talks with its owners about restructuring its debt for months.
