Liam Adams, Gerry Adams, Child Rape, Sinn Fin

The brother of Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams TD will appear in Court in Belfast today charged with child rape. Gerry Adams TD has been forced to publicly admit that he knew about the alleged rapes of Aine Tyrell from she was 4 years old. It is alleged that Liam Adams raped his daughter Aine from she was 4 years old. Gerry Adams Snr the father of both Liam and Gerry Adams TD was given a full IRA funeral by Gerry and Liam although they knew he was a serial child rapist who used his position in Sinn Fein/IRA to rape children.
Liam Adams is due to appear in a Belfast court today after he was he was extradited from the State to Northern Ireland yesterday.

Mr Adams was taken into custody in Dublin last month after losing his appeal against the decision to extradite him.

Mr Adams (56), a brother of Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams, is expected to stand trial on multiple charges of rape and indecent assault against his daughter Aine Tyrell. He denies the allegations made against him.

In court last month, Mr Justice John Edwards said the court had “carefully considered the submissions made to it on both sides”.

“Having considered these submissions and reflected upon them, the court has arrived at the decision it is not disposed to certify any of the points raised as points of law of exceptional public importance,” said the judge.

It is claimed the sexual offences occurred at various addresses in Belfast between March 1977 and March 1983 when the alleged victim was aged between four and 10 years old. It is alleged some of the offences occurred when Ms Tyrell’s mother was out of the family’s house.

Mr Adams, with a last address at Bernagh Avenue in Belfast, turned himself in to gardaí in Dublin in March 2010 after a European arrest warrant was issued by the PSNI.

He denies all the charges and contested the request for his surrender.

Lawyers for Mr Adams argued his prosecution was “politically motivated” and that he had been treated differently from other people accused of criminal offences by members of Sinn Féin and by those in opposing parties seeking to generate “political capital” from his association with Sinn Féin.
